Completed soldering project

After 5 weeks of silver jewelry and soldering classes I have finished my stone setting projects...

This is a sterling silver bracelet and earring with Zebra Rock. I just love the colors in these stones.

I just wish I had a before photo to show. I started out with a sheet of Sterling Silver and three stones. I created the walls to hold the stone with fine silver. Once the walls fit the stones I soldered the fine silver to the sterling silver base. Filed off the extra silver and solder on the sides on the pieces. Added/soldered the bracelet and earring part last. Finally, polishing the piece and set the stones.

Here is the side view of the pieces...

I am hoping to add more bracelets and studded earrings to the KML Designs line soon.

KML Wedding

This past weekend KML Wedding had it fifth wedding!!! I am so excited to have so many weddings in just a little over a year. Each wedding I have created custom jewelry for the bride, bridal party, mother of the bride or groom and flower girls. (custom jewelry makes a great bridesmaid gift.) Congratulations to all of the couples!!!

Here is the latest wedding, with the bridesmaids. They are wearing custom necklaces which includes cultured freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, and aquamarine with a sterling silver toggle. The earrings include cultured freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals.

Here is another wedding, bridesmaids necklaces are all hand knotted cultured freshwater pearls with a gold fill toggle and earrings are cultured freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals, along with bridal earrings made of gold fill chain and Swarovki crystals.

Here is another beautiful bride, she is wearing a hand knotted cultured freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystal with a sterling silver toggle and her earrings are sterling silver cultured freshwater pearls and Swaroski crystal.

If you are interested in having KML Wedding customize jewelry for your wedding just contact us and we are happy to create the wedding jewelry for you. Best of all, most designs can be worn after the wedding!

Soldering Classes

I have been attending soldering/fusing classes to expand the jewelry line, this class is designed for beginners. (Which is a good thing, because I know that I am when it comes to soldering and fusing) I have only been there for two weeks, but I have already learned so much. Who would have ever thought of me using a blow touch to create jewelry? I know that I never did.
My project is not near completed but once it is I will post photos of it. I think it is going to look really cool once completed. I hope to enter it into a show or two. (I might have to wait until my second piece or more experience to enter a show).

Jewelry Photos

After looking at my jewelry blog. I realized that I have not posted any photos of some of my creations. I always talk about posting them... Here are a few of my favorites... I am hoping to have a new line soon!

The first necklace I just finished for a wedding later this month. I am so excited about creating jewelry for the bridal party! The necklace has cultured freshwater pearls, crystals, and aquamarine. They are on the right and left. The middle necklace is a one of a kind with over 20mm cultured freshwater coin pearls.

Here is a necklace that I where all the time. It is gaspiete, natural turquoise, and lapis. They are my three favorite colors put together in one necklace with sterling silver beads.

This was a custom order I did about a year ago. It is natural coral and a sterling silver toggle. It just has a wonderful red color to it that is even better in person.

4th of July

July 4th was a great day, I loved getting to relax. Happy Birthday America!!!
Since, I have taken the photography class all I have wanted to do is take photos. My photos are slowly starting to look better since I have purchased a DSLR camera. The first thing I took photos of was the fireworks display up here in DC with the Washington Monument. Here are a few of my favorites.

I am looking forward to taking photos of the jewelry and posting those soon.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
